Ideas and perspectives – what stories do we wish to tell? The writers selected from the call will come with themes in which they thought they would like to invest more time and thought.

Workshop 1 took the writer’s initial theme, idea or impulse and explored it creatively through a mixture of exercises, group discussions, guest presentations and peer group work.

Workshop 1 kicked off with a series of creative pairings, designed to spark collaboration and push story ideas further. Each duo worked closely together, exploring and refining their concepts through a process of repeated storytelling, questioning, and open discussion. Teams rotated throughout the workshop, allowing every writer to connect and collaborate with each of their peers. This dynamic exchange of ideas led to the development of stronger, more defined TV series concepts, ready to evolve in the next stage of the programme.
